Coffee Morning - 10.30-1200 on Wednesday 18th June at the Holiday Inn, Filton

Held regularly on the third Wednesday of the month, this is just a casual get together with no need to book ahead - just turn up and enjoy the opportunity to chat with other members in an informal setting. Unfortunately our usual venue is unavailable this month so we will meet at the Holiday Inn instead.
Please note that there will be no coffee morning in July. We will have a picnic cream tea instead. See below for details...

Picnic Cream Tea - Wednesday 16th July 2pm-3.30pm
Meet at 2pm at the new Sports Pavilion at King George V Playing Field for a 'cream tea in a box' priced at £5 and, if weather permits, maybe a game of Boules or Kubb for those feeling energetic. The pavilion is located near the car park off Sutherland Avenue.
Summer Lunch at the Holiday Inn, Filton 12.00 for 12.30
As the January lunch here was so popular we are proposing to have a similar event on Tuesday 1st July (instead of our normal meeting). Two courses plus coffee/tea for £22.
Frome Valley Group Events
Summer Outing - 8th July - Goodrich Castle and St Mary's Church, Kempley
The Group summer outing on 8th July will be to Goodrich Castle and St. Mary’s Church, Kempsey (there
are12th century wall paintings inside the church) . Tickets cost £23 to include coach travel, admission to the castle and a guided tour. Refreshments can be purchased at the castle.
Anyone who can show English Heritage membership on the day will pay a reduced amount as the castle is one of the Heritage monuments. The coach’s first pick up is at Downend Coop at 0930, followed by Winterbourne Coop, returning at around 1630 - with a possible stop for refreshment at Tintern on the return journey ( time dependent).
